Teaching Assistant – Psychology Department, UNM

As a TA for two high-enrollment undergraduate courses (100+ students each), I supported instruction, facilitated engaging discussion sections, and helped manage course logistics at scale. I brought clarity and approachability to sensitive topics in Human Sexuality and built foundational skills in psychological science for Psych 101 students.

Highlights:
-Led weekly discussion and review sessions for 100–150 students across multiple sections
-Created study guides, supplemental learning resources, and exam prep materials
-Provided individualized support through office hours, email, and Canvas feedback
-Graded exams, essays, and participation with an emphasis on clarity, fairness, and constructive feedback
-Helped students navigate complex topics like identity, behavior, and stigma with empathy and academic rigor
-Collaborated closely with faculty to align TA support with course learning goals and student needs
